As a senior strategist for client needs, Julie is responsible for developing advice and guidance for Canadians by creating impactful thought leadership to help lead and coordinate advice and guidance strategy development.
Prior to joining Edward Jones in 2021, Julie worked at Dundee Wealth and MD Financial in advice, supervision, practice management and strategy, bringing 20 years' experience working in the financial industry. She has also worked with many students pursuing professional designations for industry education providers including CSI Global Education, FP Canada, the Schulich School of Business in Canada, and the CISI in the U.K., to name a few.
Julie has also authored several articles providing financial advice for Canadian publications including the Medical Post and Canadian Money Saver, and has presented to several groups on financial planning in a pandemic for doctors. Julie was nominated for an IIAC Top Under 40 award in the investment industry in 2019.
Julie earned her bachelor's degree from The University of Western Ontario, MBA from Dalhousie University and a certificate in corporate communication from the University of Ottawa. Julie holds the CFP® certification. She is also a fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).
When Julie is not working, she is probably running, spinning or travelling. Her favorite place to travel to is Italy, where she lived with her husband for several years.
