Accounts, fees and costs

Investing isn't a one-size-fits-all endeavour. So, if you’re wondering, “How much does a financial advisor cost?” or, “What is the fee for a financial advisor?” there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. What you want to do with your money is unique to you, and the solutions that are right for you are just as unique.

With us you decide:

  • How hands-on you want to be
  • The different types of investments you wish to own
  • How much monitoring and communication you prefer
  • How much money you want to invest

Your decisions help determine which account type is best for you. With all our options, your financial advisor helps you by:

  • Building customized financial strategies that work for your goals and comfort with risk
  • Providing the knowledge and guidance you need to feel confident, informed and in control of your future
  • Staying connected throughout your journey to help keep you on track.

It's also important that you understand the costs and fees of our services and how you will pay for services within each solution, including whether you will pay when a trade is placed (commissions) or pay a percentage of your assets annually (fee-based).

Edward Jones offers other account types which are subject to limited availability in addition to those shown. Check with your financial advisor for availability.

Family Tree Groups

Family Tree Groups let eligible family members combine the assets in their fee-based accounts to calculate program fees. As total assets increase, program fee rates may go down.
