Financial Fitness program

Empowering high school students with financial knowledge

About the program

At Edward Jones, we believe in the power of financial knowledge.

It's never too early to start understanding important financial topics, such as smart money management and how to save for big goals like education.

That's why earlier in 2023 to help increase the financial competence and confidence of high school students, Edward Jones Canada piloted a program in 69 schools across 5 Canadian provinces: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario.

The program is called Financial Fitness.

Like physical fitness which requires exercise and a balanced diet, Financial Fitness is designed to equip the young generation of Canadians to flex their financial knowledge and make sound budgeting decisions throughout their journey of life supported by a solid financial foundation. Financial Fitness will guide conversations about money and help students better understand how to work toward achieving financial resilience.

High school teachers who sign up for the program receive a complimentary digital financial education course. The course provides students with a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of investing, the global marketplace, and foundational financial concepts.
