My first career was as a travel agent, sending people wherever their hearts desired. Now as a financial advisor, I help people afford that travel or any other goals that are near and dear to their hearts.

It begins with the time we spend together. I want to hear about your personal experiences, the things that keep you up at night and what you want for yourself and your family. I want to know what feels like roadblocks and what might be opportunities. Then I can build a financial strategy that takes all that into account and heads you toward your goals while guarding for any unexpected financial upsets.

That strategy is our map, one leading toward your vision and devoid of any emotion. So when there's a hot stock or a market drop, you can talk it over with your coffee club, but you can come back to the map and make an objective decision. Together, we'll consider the pros and cons and determine what this means for you and your family personally.

In my practice, I work with many retirees who need their investments to produce income for their lifestyles. At the other end of the spectrum, I also serve many new investors - those with a first job or a new family - so they get a leg up on successfully balancing short- and long-term goals.

We're a hometown branch. I've been here for more than 15 years, first as the branch office administrator and since 2014 as the financial advisor. Kim O'Grady, our current branch office administrator, is a 10-year veteran in the branch. She and I are long, long-time Elliot Lakers. As part of Edward Jones, we can deliver the personal service from our small-town branch with the due diligence and expertise of a client focused firm.

My husband (also an Elliot Lake native) and I are new empty nesters with both our girls now at university. Whether the season allows skiing or ice fishing, we love the lake. Philanthropically, our interests and our support go to local charities, most recently through the 100 Elliot Lakers Who Care.
