There are clear milestones that led to my work of providing advice that can make a difference in people's lives. As a child, I saw the money in my savings account grow. After university, I put my toe into the stock market, buying two shares, and watched in amazement as it quadrupled. In my first years as a registered representative - during the tech bubble of 2000 - I saw many people lose money. Having witnessed both peaks and valleys, I realized that people were starving for good advice.
Today, I help clients feel secure that they can weather any financial storm without derailing their future. During my 20 years in the industry - more than 10 as a financial advisor - and all market conditions, I know that the best defense is to plan ahead with a balanced, diversified, written financial strategy. I truly have a passion to help build your wealth - and protect it.
The strategies I build are designed specifically for you. To do that, two things are essential - that I understand what matters most to you and that you understand what we're doing with your money. By listening to your dreams and challenges, I have a foundation for your tailored portfolio. And when you understand our work and ask questions along the way, you'll feel in control of your financial picture.
My practice is well suited to serve clients in transition - for example new empty nesters or those suddenly on their own after years of marriage. Branch Office Administrator Kellie Baker, a 20-year Edward Jones veteran, and I are dedicated to serving every client with care and compassion.
I have two wonderful children with Louise, my wife of 15 years. They play soccer and hockey, while I serve as assistant soccer coach and hockey trainer and manager for their teams.
One of people's main goals is saving for retirement. I am delighted when clients five to 15 years from retirement ask, "Will this really happen?" I've worked with hundreds of clients through this process, and yes, it is real!
