My journey to become a financial advisor began in a cabinet shop in 2008. As a young carpenter I was told by my boss that we may not have any work and I could lose my job. I could not understand how something happening so far away could cause so much distress in Regina. All I could do was commit to reading and try to learn the why and the how. Much to my surprise, this turned into a passion for finance and economics. Eventually I was able to merge my passion and my livelihood by starting my practise with Edward Jones. Now I can share my passion with my clients and be there to help them through their own journeys.
What can you expect as a client?
My team and I pride ourselves on providing a welcoming environment at our branch, where we love to laugh and you can feel at home. I will always focus on you and try to understand what is most important to you. We will work together through an established process from a firm that has placed clients first since 1922. This enables me to offer the unique advice, solutions and support you need and I will be there as your partner throughout your life.
I am regularly asked how I came to make the transition from carpenter to financial advisor. I started by going back to school and I acquired a Diploma of Business through Saskatchewan Polytechnic. I was then hired as a financial advisor at Conexus Credit Union in Regina. My time there was very valuable as I am able to leverage my experience in the banking system when offering advice to my clients. While at Conexus I was approached by Edward Jones to join the firm and we were a perfect fit.
My wife, Erin, and I are both Regina born and have spent our lives in this city. We have recently added a daughter to our family, who is our joy.
If you've read this far, you should definitely give me a call or stop by the branch. If social media is your preference you can connect with me on LinkedIn. I look forward to meeting you.
