Growing up in Nelson, my mom was a nurse and my dad was a teacher. Their roles within the community were ones of service, care and support. I believe the combination of those characteristics are what shaped me into the Financial Advisor I am today. I get the most joy in being of service to my clients, caring for their financial wellness and helping them to better understand their goals and how to achieve them.
My clients are engaged, open to suggestions and willing to learn. They offer me an opportunity to listen to their needs, share my knowledge and guide them towards making their dreams a reality. I look at myself as their health coach for financial wellness. Working together we create individualized strategies to promote tax efficiencies, retirement strategies, wealth strategies and estate consideration. Together we work towards achieving your financial plan responsibly and realistically. At the end of the day, I want you to enjoy everything you have worked so hard to accomplish.
I graduated from the Mount Royal College University Business. Prior to joining Edward Jones in 2012, I was fortunate enough to run my own business. Having been an entrepreneur, I believe I have a better understanding of the needs and mindsets of my clients who are small business owners.
Outside of the office, almost all of my time is spent with my partner and my three kids. I am very much a family man. I also enjoy traveling anywhere and everywhere.
When you call or visit our office you will likely be greeted by either myself or one of the two Branch Office Administrators, Robin Hartland and Willow Makortoff. Between the two of them they have 22 years of industry experience. They are both very client focused and truly make our clients feel warm and welcome. They are knowledgeable and caring and I'm lucky to have them as part of my team.
