My parents immigrated to Canada from Chile in the 70s escaping a military coup led by Agusto Pinochet that forever changed our lives. Growing up in a foreign country we were taught to work hard and make smart financial decisions. These were some of my earliest experiences of how difficult times can lead to prosperity with proper planning.
I completed the Personal Financial Planning designation and CFA level 1 and 2. I began my career at a asset management firm attending high net worth and corporate clients across various industry sectors. I subsequently joined a private wealth management firm for a bank brokerage on a discretionary platform.
I believe it is important to teach and educate our clients along the way. It is important that they feel in control. We do this by meeting frequently throughout the year and hosting seminars and lunch and learns.
Some of the educational events we have had in 2019 for our clients and friends are:
Estate Planning for Parents (October)
Creative Business Solutions for the Business Owner (July)
Client Appreciation Brunch (May)
Investment Outlook (June)
The Nuts and Bolts of Stocks Investing (March)
Investments Coffee Club (Quarterly)
Some of the tools we use in our process are Financial Planning Software, Stocks, Bonds, Exchange Traded Fund, Mutual Funds, Insurance products, fee based accounts, transactional accounts.
