I've learned one thing after serving 10 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. Setting up rules to follow is easy. It's the execution of constant discipline that makes the difference. Now, I take that lesson and apply it to helping families achieve their financial goals.
I spent most of my 20's being an officer in the Canadian Army, I felt blessed that I was part of the military pension program the federal government offers. I had an idea that once I served 25+ years I could retire with some kind of pension, but I didn't exactly understand what it meant. I wanted a clearer picture. After seeking more details I realized that even though I will be 'okay' with the pension, it wasn't what I wanted my retirement to look like. So now I devote myself to helping clients understand the complex factors that affect Canadians in retirement.
Through building my practice over the last 5 years, I've experienced the struggles and pride of building something of value. I therefore focus on strategies that can help business owners get the most out of their business and reduce their risk.
When I think about the future of my two toddlers, I want our financial resources to be a positive influence. My clients feel the same way. So I help families transfer their wealth responsibly to the next generation.
My team includes an extraordinary branch office administrator, Emily Park. Our team uses an established 5-step process to make each client feel understood, informed, in control, and secure, while also having the time and confidence to focus on what brings the most meaning to their lives.
Outside of the office, you can find me lifting weights at the gym, ruining a good walk attempting to golf, or, most often, being the best husband and father I can be.
