Nathan Osterhout Principal Market Growth Leader Nathan Osterhout leads Canadian regions in key areas such as growth, retention, mindset, and asset gathering. As one of 11 members of the Financial Advisor Council, Nathan provides executive leadership with valuable field-level feedback to shape firm strategies.

Nathan began his career in 2004 as a financial advisor in Edmonton, Alberta. Over the past 20+ years, his unwavering focus on client needs has helped his team build one of the leading practices in Canada.

In 2020, Nathan was appointed regional leader, overseeing the health, growth, and leadership development of more than 50 branch teams across northern Alberta. His dedication and impact within the firm earned him the title of Edward Jones principal in 2021. By 2024, Nathan took on the role of market growth leader for Canada further driving the firm’s success.

Nathan has been instrumental in fostering Edward Jones’ culture of volunteerism and leadership. He has held numerous regional leadership roles, including EARL, growth leader, performance leader, level leader, field trainer, mentor and region technology advisor. His contributions include recruiting over 30 financial advisors and hosting an asset-sharing program. Among his many accolades, Nathan is especially proud of receiving the Spirit of Caring Award, which remains one of his most cherished honours.

Nathan’s exceptional performance has earned him invitations to the Financial Advisor Leader’s Conference for six consecutive years, the Managing Partner’s Conference for four consecutive years, and three Pinnacle Conferences.

A graduate of Malaspina University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Nathan earned his CFP® designation in 2007.

Nathan lives in Edmonton, Alberta, with his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Noah and Lucas. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and crafting furniture from exotic woods. One of his most rewarding experiences has been coaching his children’s junior high basketball teams, which brought him unexpected joy and fulfillment.
