Jason Lounsbury

In Jason Lounsbury’s current role, he leads Canadian Products and Portfolio Management. In this role, he has responsibility for developing and managing the Canadian product shelf to ensure our products are providing competitive choices to clients and capacity to branch teams. This includes leading new product development, such as our Canadian Advisory Platform (CAP), and the consistent improvement of our existing product line-ups including our fee-based and brokerage platforms, managed investments, insurance, cash and lending products.

Jason serves as the chair of the Canadian Managed Account Committee, which has responsibility for supervising the implementation of Edward Jones’ investment philosophy across all managed accounts, including approving asset allocation and security selection changes, and for reviewing the resulting performance and portfolio characteristics on a recurring basis.

Jason joined Edward Jones in 2009 as a business analyst in the Financial Solutions Software area. In 2012, he assumed responsibility for Financial Solutions Software and led the development of new software solutions, including Canadian Five-star, Performance Reporting, Financial Foundations and Portfolio Rebalancer. In 2016, Jason assumed responsibility for Canadian Fee Based Programs, focused on driving the adoption of fee-based, building an internal portfolio management team, and continuing to evolve the fee-based platform. In 2024, Jason was asked to expand his leadership to include all Canadian product lines, and in 2025 he was invited to be a principal of the firm.

Jason graduated from Wilfred Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, concentrating in finance. He is a licensed portfolio manager, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.

Jason and his wife Kim have two children, Reya and Bennett. They enjoy spending time outdoors and travelling. Jason also volunteers in his church community, serving as a Sunday school teacher and leading the church softball team with Kim and the kids as their cheerleaders.
