    Linda Bannister joined Edward Jones’ Research department in 1993 as a service specialist and three years later was named an analyst following the media and leisure industries. In 2000, she left the firm to join Banc of America Capital Management, working as a senior analyst in the media, entertainment, cable and publishing industries.

    In April 2003, Bannister returned to Edward Jones and served as a senior area analyst responsible for the health care sector, the energy/utility team and the Equity Income Buy List. She also served a term on the firm’s Profit Sharing Investment Committee.

    In January 2013, Bannister moved to the Mutual Fund Research Group to serve as a senior area analyst, responsible for researching U.S. mutual funds for the Edward Jones Advisory Solutions program. She also serves as a member of the Investment Advisory Research Committee.

    Bannister has been quoted in numerous publications, including BusinessWeek, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes magazine, cnnmoney.com, the Chicago Tribune and The Washington Post. In addition, Bannister is a member of Washington University’s Institutional Review Board.

    Bannister graduated cum laude from Southwest Missouri State University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in finance. She earned her MBA from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1993 and became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1997. Bannister is a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute.

    In January 2014, Bannister returned to the Equity Research department to assume responsibility for the industrial and health care teams.
