My Number 1 priority is to serve your best interests as you work toward your long-term goals. Perhaps they include a good education for the grandkids or more travel in retirement. When we sit down at our first meeting, I'll ask you to share the things that matter most to you so I can build a uniquely suited financial strategy.
I started my career in banking but felt I was at arm's length from the people whose lives I was impacting. Now as an Edward Jones financial advisor, I work side-by-side with clients, enjoying the personal interactions, conversations and relationships that develop. I do enjoy the numbers part – creating a financial strategy out of a combination of investments – but truthfully, the investments are the means to an end. In the end, my goal is to help you achieve yours.
I am frequently away from the branch to meet with clients – over coffee, at their homes, wherever it is convenient – so don't be surprised if you see me in your neighborhood. Meanwhile, you'll always have easy access to Shadan Barkeshli in the branch. I call her the pillar of the branch, but her official title is branch office administrator. If something comes up, give her a call or just drop by the branch.
Our branch is ideally suited to serve clients with more complex needs who are approaching or already in retirement. I am a perpetual student of financial challenges and opportunities, having studied economics and social policy in college, learning from my various roles in banking and enrolling in financial strategy courses of interest – and I am motivated by the challenge of complex financial needs.
Many of our clients are branches of the same family, which I see as a compliment. When working on estate plans, I often also meet with the client's adult children. Once they see our relationship and our approach, it's not uncommon for them to become clients as well.
I am smitten with my son, who is one year old. Our family of three spends as much time outdoors as we can.
