I bought my first investment, a Canada savings bond, at age 14 with money from my paper route and a grocery store job. At 16, I got a job at Loblaw and worked part-time for 10 years. I spent Loblaw earnings on things other than company stock. There may have been a dozen reasons, but in hindsight, investing in that company may have been one of the best things I could have done.

Hindsight is 20/20. For many investors, there are often deterrents to investing – competing expenses, fear of down markets, plenty of years left, no financial guidance – but building the habit, even with small amounts, is a gift you can give yourself. It can save you from looking back with regrets in 20, 30 or 40 years. And it can lead to successes like buying your dream home, affording your preferred college and retiring to the lifestyle you choose.

My work with clients includes short- and long-term goals and developing a strategy to reach them. It involves helping clients avoid impulsive decisions triggered by daily news so we can stay the course for the long-term. It ensures that my recommendations match your risk tolerance and that I marry your goals with the patience to hit them.

I've worked in financial services my entire career, both as a financial advisor and as director of institutional sales at a major mutual fund company, which gave me an intimate understanding of managing risk and building portfolios within the funds.

I've lived in Etobicoke my entire life and ardently support the Terry Fox Foundation – as a runner since 1999, organizing the run site for several years and participating in, even chairing, our family dedication team. Over the past 20 years, our team has raised more than $400,000.

Receiving the Vanier Cup in at University of Toronto instilled in me a lifelong discipline. I learned the importance of teamwork, sacrifice and goal setting.

I love to travel, support my son's football games (coaching or watching) and spend time with family.
