I opened my practice in 2008 during "the Great Recession." While no one would plan that timing, I'm grateful in hindsight. I saw firsthand the value of accurate risk tolerance, diversifying and personal relationships.
When times are good and your money makes money, it's easy to overestimate your risk tolerance. But when the market drops, the looks of your portfolio can be a hard pill to swallow. I can help you gain a true understanding of your risk tolerance through in-depth discussions and what-if scenarios.
Being well diversified is a critical component of your financial strategy. Different investments react differently, and diversification helps you weather varying market conditions so you can feel confident about reaching your goals.
Perhaps most important is the relationship we'll build. I want to get to know your hopes for your family and your dreams for the future. Then we'll put your dollars to work toward those goals. Over time, we'll work together to keep you on track no matter what life throws your way.
I work with people who appreciate a deep relationship. People who are serious about their intentions and their money. And people who need someone to do the fundamental work. It's not necessarily about how much money you have. It's the relationship we foster that can be the difference between realizing your dreams and not.

On a personal note, my wife of 20 years and I have three teenagers who have been in competitive sports at some of the highest levels and currently focus on their studies while holding part-time jobs. Interestingly, I see them learning how to balance their goals just as I help my clients balance theirs.
