My former career as a licensed paralegal was about helping people. Clients came to me with problems of all types, typically ones they weren't comfortable talking about. It was my job to help them. I find striking similarities in my role as a financial advisor. The issues I encounter are not the same, but I am called upon to discuss topics that some find uncomfortable and to create strategies that can help.
Helping clients is what being a financial advisor is about. Whether you are preparing for retirement, saving for your children's education or protecting those you care for most, I listen to you to understand what's most important in your life. I then work with you to develop strategies tailored to your life, to help you meet your financial goals.
Part of reaching your goals is protecting what you have. In 2008, I was a new investor with a small portfolio. I learned too late that my advisor hadn't incorporated strategies to help protect it against market declines. In contrast, I work with your money as if it were my own.
While I work with all types of clients, I specialize in Registered Education Savings Plans and the Registered Disability Savings Plan. If a family member has a disability, you'll want to understand how you can save for their long-term financial security. There is no commitment or cost to come in and speak with me, and I'd welcome the opportunity to share this information.
I am lucky to be supported by two branch office administrators, Judy and Nancy, who are integral to our successful Edward Jones practice. Their thoughtful and personable approach builds deep relationships with our clients, and their knowledge and attention to detail ensure that each client is well served.
My beautiful wife, our fun-loving daughter and I enjoy cycling and skiing. And I'm always up for a round of golf or some pick-up hockey.
